Group Dining Options

The Desert Museum offers special dining options exclusively for groups that maximize your time on grounds and simplify logistics for trip leaders and organizers. Please contact Guest Services to make detailed arrangements for your visit. There is no picnicking or outside food allowed on grounds, but groups may make use of the first-come, first-served picnic ramada just outside the Museum’s main entrance.

Option 1: Prepaid Meal Vouchers

For greater flexibility, consider purchasing prepaid meal vouchers for your group. Vouchers are redeemable at Ironwood Terraces restaurant, which offers casual, food-court style dining. A minimum of $15 per person required, $20 per person suggested to include an entrée, side item, and beverage. Vouchers are distributed on arrival, restrictions apply. Private dining space is not available with this option.

Option 2: Box Lunches

Box lunches are a budget-friendly “grab and go” option and are offered in a resealable box. Each lunch includes a choice of sandwich or salad, chips, and a cookie (minimum order 25). Orders must be placed a minimum of three days in advance of your visit and will be ready for pick-up at the Ironwood Terraces restaurant. Private dining space is not available with this option, but groups may use the first-come, first-served dining area or the attached patios.

Option 3: Catered Meal

For a private dining experience, consider a catered meal in one of our beautiful event spaces. Catered meals must be arranged a minimum of 30 days in advance of your visit, with final guarantee due fourteen days before arrival. Guest count and catering minimums may apply. Sample menus are available on request. Catered meals require a facility rental contract in lieu of group admission.
