Roar No More: Sensory-Friendly Dino Days will take place on March 30 & 31, and again on April 20 & 21 for a total of four special days when our animatronic dinosaurs will be silenced, but continue to move. These days are designed for guests who experience sensory sensitivities or may find the dino roaring sounds overwhelming. We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable while enjoying Dinos in the Desert.

Gather your friends, family, and fellow nature nerds for a day of searching, scouting and documenting the Wild species at the Desert Museum! We will Party in a day — what surprise animals or plants can you find?

The Desert Museum is joining in the Pima County Nature Challenge (CNC). CNCs have been growing in major cities in the past few years as a way to connect to the outdoors, document biodiversity, build community, and data sets.

Campers will explore every nook and cranny of the Museum as they use science to make their own desert discoveries, observe live animals up close, create art, and chill out in our Packrat Playhouse.

Discover the many colors of the Sonoran Desert as we observe the world around us through the lenses of culture, art, and science. During the day we will explore the Desert Museum grounds, have up close live animal experiences, learn with Tohono O’odham and NOIRlab teachers, as well as create projects out of natural materials using nature as our inspiration. Each day brings a new adventure as we explore the colors of the desert!
